I bought my own Mother's Day cards for this year. I don't even feel shame around it.
I found the perfect card for my 8 year old to give me.
You see, we were at soccer practice a few days ago and he happened upon a ladybug. He was so excited (for whatever reason ladybugs seem like a rare find in Hawaii).
He chased that ladybug with me for a good 15 minutes. Catching it, then watching it fly away, then catching it again. It was just this cute special memory we had waiting for big brother's game to begin.

A few days later I'm shopping at Whole Foods and I get distracted by the card section.
There's this adorable papyrus card with flowers in a heart shape and a little ladybug attachment on it. It's the perfect card for him to give me. I can just see his proud little face as he hands it to me, and his little voice piping "remember Mama, the ladybug".
So I bought it and gave it to my husband, and said "have Finn give this to me for Mother's Day."

What else is that, but being a Mom.
Moms, forever thinking how to make a situation the best, how to alleviate the stress on others, and to considers everyone's feelings before our own.
Sure, we are tired, we are busy, and sometimes we just want to feel like a human being who doesn't smell like lukewarm coffee and spit-up.
Motherhood is a beautiful chaos, but your gift guide shouldn't be. I've rounded up the 10 things that are actually on my radar this year.
These aren't just 'stuff'—they are survival tools, sanity-savers, and a little bit of luxury because, frankly, we’ve earned it. So whether you add it to your wish-list, or just get it for yourself because you deserve it, I hope you enjoy!
