You thought you'd be excited when the new growth started coming in didn't you?
But..... it disappointingly came in as wispy and thin as can be.
Not only that, it decided it would grow towards the sky instead of laying gently along your hairline.
What's a new mom to do? No, literally! Who knows what we should be doing?
Well, we are covering some NEW tips in tricks (for that annoying regrowth we have a LOVE/HATE relationship with) & products we are loving right now to help.
DAE Cactus Fruit Styling Wand + Cream:
I'm obsessed with this pocket-sized styling wand that is my secret weapon against fly-aways and the best kept secret for edges!
A must have for postpartum moms battling new regrowth. It's convenient, the packaging is super-cute and it smells good! I love a citrus scent and this combines dragon-fruit, prickly pear, and meadow wood.
New moms are all too familiar with spike re-growth and flyaways.
Styling edges made easy!
At $18 it won't break the bank and you can grab it at Sephora!
Briogeo Sleek Stick:
I stumbled upon this travel-friendly styling stick during one of my Nordstrom beauty hauls, and just have to recommend it!
Not only does it deliver polished, slick back buns, but it tames frizz and flyaways without pulling baby hairs! This is super important because we want that new growth to well, GROW FASTER not snag and break.
The stick easily glides over hair and distributes a nourishing blend of vegan ingredients including yuzu + plum oil. It provides 24-hour hold and frizz prevention with a glossy finish.
The .5 oz citrus smelling stick will run you about $23 and you can grab at Nordstrom, Sephora, or directly from Briogeo
Athleta Interval Headband:
Unfortunately for us new moms, we literally have to re-train our hair to grow the right way (down) after experience postpartum hair loss. The new baby hairs will grow straight up and leave you looking baffled at yourself in the mirror or in a photo. Yes, it's annoying but a suggestion I have is when you are at home wear a workout headband over the new growth.
Do this for at least an hour or two a day so the new growth gets the hint!
You can typically find a soft headband where you get your favorite workout gear. I've snagged some from Nike & Lululemon but really like the wider band on this Athletica one to cover more of my hairline.
A headband like this shouldn't run you more than $15-$20 and the good news is you'll use it for workouts too!

Don't forget this regrowth stage comes down to how fast and thick your hair can grow, I always recommend taking the Baby Blues hair vitamins to accelerate the speed of hair growth along with how strong and thick it grows in to minimize this awkward stage as much as possible.
The best thing you can do is keep your hair growing and as healthy as possible so don't skip out on supporting your hair growth from the inside.
